Background

Liz Ranks is an associate in the litigation group in Fish’s Boston office. She has played a supporting role in ITC and district court litigation. In addition, she has experience obtaining a settlement for a client through mediation. Ms. Ranks was previously a Summer Associate of the Firm, and she spent a semester as a law clerk with Judge William G. Young in the United States Federal Court, District of Mass.Prior to law school, Ms. Ranks provided technical support for a medical device manufacturer, supporting a range of products from CLIA-waived tests to advanced multiplexing robotic assays. Prior to that she worked at the Jackson Laboratory, identifying mutations in DNA that resulted in a rare genetic disease, as well as studying glucose transport in mouse models of Type II diabetes.​​
