Overview

Peter R. Poulin, Ph.D., focuses his practice on patent prosecution in a variety of areas, including optics, lasers, electro-optical and thin-film devices and sensors, semiconductor fabrication and microlithography, and biological imaging and image analysis.


Peter’s prosecution practice extends from the U.S. to most EU countries and major jurisdictions in Asia, and his clients include multinational corporations in the U.S. and Europe. He also has extensive experience in patent portfolio development and counseling for start-ups and medium-size companies, and in reexamination and interference proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Peter received his Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2005, where he studied high energy light-matter interactions in condensed phase media.
