Overview

Dr. Meghana Gupta advises clients, ranging from individual inventors to large pharmaceutical companies, in the life sciences and biotechnology industries. Her practice focuses on patent prosecution and counseling. She also provides assistance with due diligence, freedom to operate, patent portfolio management, and landscape review. 

Meghana’s experience includes the life sciences, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology fieldsShe has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications related to antibodies, biologics, peptides, cell and gene therapies, gene editing, and diagnostics and other platform technologies. She has experience with both U.S. and international patent practice. 

Meghana received her Ph.D. in molecular pharmacology from Case Western Reserve University. Her educational background instilled both a deep understanding of the life sciences and a love for exploring new scientific and technological developments that she applies to every matter she’s involved in. A clear and responsive communicator, Meghana keeps her clients well informed on each development in their case. 

Meghana maintains an active pro bono practice and represents asylum seekers seeking to escape persecution in their home countries.  

Outside of her legal practice, she serves on the board of directors at the Wright-Locke Farm in Winchester, Massachusetts. She also enjoys hiking, biking, and baking with her kids.
