Lauren Grohowski advocates for clients in litigation involving mechanical engineering innovations, among other technologies.
Lauren has experience assisting with various aspects of litigation, including performing substantive legal research, drafting memos and briefs, and producing claim charts.
While studying mechanical engineering at Vanderbilt University, Lauren designed and tested lower-limb wearable sensor systems as a research assistant for the university’s Zelik Lab for Biomechanics and Assistive Technology. She also interned at a medical technology company, where her work focused on designing efficiency improvements for the assembly of neurorehabilitation robotics.
During law school, Lauren served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Journal of Law & Technology. She also served in Virginia’s Patent Clinic, where she worked with university inventors on patent-related matters. Lauren was a research assistant for Professor Elizabeth Rowe with a focus on trade secret law. The pair co-authored a forthcoming piece exploring excessive sealing in federal courts.
When she’s out of the office, Lauren enjoys running with friends, reading by the beach, and spending time with her family and fiancé.
