Kevin Garvey represents clients in intellectual property disputes centered on complex mechanical, electromechanical, and manufacturing technologies.
While in law school, Kevin completed an externship with the International Trade Commission’s Office of Unfair Import Investigations, where he prepared litigation materials, drafted institution memoranda, and performed research and document drafting for Section 337 investigations. He also completed an externship at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, where he drafted memoranda and conducted legal research. Kevin’s legal experience while summering at Fish & Richardson includes conducting legal research and drafting client communications, substantive legal memoranda, patent analyses, claim charts, timelines, declarations, and other reports.
Kevin’s business-minded counsel is grounded in the perspective he gained through his MBA coursework at Stevens Institute of Technology. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, with senior capstone research focusing on the integration of thin, flexible fuel cells into lightweight drones.
Away from the office, Kevin spends his time hiking, skiing, and playing the saxophone.
