Katie Roche focuses her practice on trademark and copyright counseling and prosecution.

Katie’s legal experience includes counseling clients regarding trademark use and registration availability, as well as the likely scope of trademark rights. She takes a collaborative approach to her practice, working with clients and in-house counsel to develop effective plans for trademark prosecution, protection, and enforcement, and to formulate trademark use guidelines. She has also collaborated with foreign counsel on international trademark prosecution, opposition, cancellation, and enforcement matters. Katie’s experience spans the cosmetic, fast casual dining, jewelry, and consumer packaged goods industries.

In addition to her counseling and prosecution work, Katie has litigated cases in District Courts throughout the United States, gaining extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, including oral argument, drafting briefs and pleadings, depositions, dispositive motions, appellate motions, fee petitions, settlement discussions, and trial. She has also represented clients in opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and in federal civil rights lawsuits.

In her pro bono practice, Katie has represented clients before the Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission.
