Jay Zhu, Ph.D., has a technical background in molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry. He has experience in both patent litigation and patent prosecution.
Jay’s litigation experience includes discovery, legal research, and drafting pre-trial motions. Jay has drafted office actions in the areas of neuro-science, molecular biology, biochemistry and medical devices.
During his time in graduate school, he served as a legal intern for a biotech company and conducted FTO analysis on genetic engineering technologies. His thesis research evaluated cell signaling mechanisms of a novel therapeutic peptide derived from extracellular matrix. He also taught two undergraduate courses as a teaching assistant.
