Girish Ratanpal, Ph.D., focuses his practice on preparing and prosecuting patent applications for clients in the electrical, computer, and mechanical engineering industries.
With technical experience spanning an extensive range of industries, Girish has assisted clients with technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), analog AI accelerators, mixed signal circuits, reconfigurable architecture, secure communications, display devices, semiconductor devices, software and additive technologies, computer networking, optical networks, electronic design automation, hybrid power supplies, and vehicle battery systems, among many others.
Girish’s legal work has included managing the IP portfolios of startup companies and universities and advising clients on IP strategy and portfolio management. In addition, he has assistedcompanies such as startups and SPAC targets with IP due diligence, including carrying out freedom-to-operate analysis, IP portfolio analysis, and review of confidentiality and licensing agreements.
