Overview

Baile (Bailey) Xie, Ph.D., focuses her practice on patent prosecution and post-grant proceedings. Bailey's patent prosecution practice covers a broad range of technological areas such as telecommunications/wireless communications, blockchain, artificial intelligence/machine learning, software, database, oil and gas, and control systems.

She has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of telecommunications and mobile-device-oriented patent applications. Bailey also has significant experience in post-grant proceedings such as inter partes review, involving patents in the areas of telecommunications (especially, 3GPP LTE/LTE-A standard essential patents), artificial intelligence/machine learning, surveillance/security systems, and laser control systems.

Bailey's graduate study focused on wireless communications and signal processing, together with extensive research experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, biomedical signal processing, and wearable medical/healthcare/fitness devices. Bailey has co-authored nine publications relating to electrical engineering/telecommunications.

Prior to joining the firm, she was a research assistant at the University of Texas at Dallas.
