Background

Bailey Benedict is an Associate in Fish & Richardson’s Houston office. Bailey’s practice focuses on patent litigation in Federal District Courts in a wide variety of technology areas including consumer goods, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, geographic information services, software, and equipment for oil and gas drilling and exploration. She also has significant experience with trademark and trade dress litigation in the field of consumer goods; specifically, rotationally molded coolers and vacuum sealed stainless steel drinkware. Her litigation experience includes numerous appeals before the Federal Circuit. Bailey also has significant experience with multi-defendant litigation and large joint defense groups.

Bailey also devotes her time to pro bono matters, including working with KIND (Kids In Need of Defense) to help children remain in the United States legally.

Before joining the firm, Bailey was an Intern for the Honorable Justice Dale Wainwright of the Supreme Court of Texas. Before entering law school, Bailey worked as an Advanced LSAT instructor for Kaplan, Inc., and an Engineering Intern for Goodrich Corp., where she focused on materials analysis and process efficiency for creating extreme heat resistant components for military aircraft.
