Litigation Knowledge Management

Fish has a full suite of technology resources, including proprietary tools, to capture and retrieve our extensive institutional knowledge and best practices, all of which increases efficiency in delivering high-value services.

Collaboration between our award-winning Knowledge Management and IT Development departments has led to the creation of valuable solutions, including:

  • Custom software development
  • Augmentation of existing or third-party systems
  • Automation and the use of machine learning

These efforts have resulted in the firm’s eFISHency™ suite of tools, including:

This proprietary tool allows us to quickly create litigation budgets, allocate hours, and monitor actuals to help us manage our cases to budget.

The proprietary resource includes templates, checklists and guides to help us deliver our renowned quality quickly and efficiently, providing timely, high-value work product.

The proprietary repository of pleadings, research, trial transcripts, outlines, and demonstratives includes tailored metadata to facilitate targeted retrieval.

Our award-winning FishHub tool combines the intelligent capture, organization, and presentation of the entire case file with work product and analysis. It integrates seamlessly with our other litigation software to provide a centralized dashboard for our case teams to maximize efficiency and value delivery.

We can create custom intranet sites to improve coordination and enhance visibility with our clients.

Fish is at the forefront of integrating machine learning into applications that our case teams use daily, including by using Microsoft’s Azure Machine Learning and the Cortana Intelligence Suite.

Our Knowledge Management and IT Development departments are adept at collaborating with our clients to develop creative solutions around substantive and business data information sharing.

Efficiency is not limited to IT solutions. It can be found as well in economies of scale. Given our large caseload, we have very attractive preferred vendor programs for common services such as court reporting and electronic discovery. The firm evaluates vendors through a request for proposal process, which includes evaluation of work product quality, customer service and competitive pricing. By design, utilization of preferred vendors for electronic discovery is minimal, since Fish has a robust, in-house electronic discovery offering powered by Relativity®.
