2016 Louis Redding Annual Benefit and Awards Gala

As part of this year’s Gala and awards presentation , we will be honoring several distinguished public servants and members of the bench and bar for their stellar leadership and outstanding contributions to the legal profession, including: Chief Justice Leo Shrine, the Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court and co-chair of Delaware’s Access to Justice Co1mnission; Doneene Keemer Damon , Executive Vice President at Richards, Layton & Finger; and Fred C. Sears II, former President and Chief Executive Officer of the Delaware Community Foundation.

A significant portion of the proceeds from this year’s program will be used to benefit the Louis L. Redding House, a non-profit museum and historical landmark located near downtown Wilmington , Delaware , and established to commemorate Mr. Louis L. Redding’s legacy and his tremendous contributions to civil rights, the community and the law. The proceeds will also be used in part to sponsor a scholarship named in his honor to offset the costs of applying to the Bar for graduating law students seeking admission to practice law in Delaware.
