Overview

Ran Wang focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling related to telecommunications, semiconductors, machine learning, computer networks, 3-D scanning, image processing, and autonomous vehicles, among other technologies.

He has broad experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications and conducting ex parte appeal proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He frequently counsels his global clients on international and U.S. patent protection strategies. Prior to joining Fish & Richardson, Ran worked as a patent agent at an IP boutique firm in Houston, Texas. Before starting his intellectual property career, Ran had a successful career as a computer software and hardware engineer, developing solutions related to augmented reality, data storage, and wireless systems.
