Overview

Maggie LaPoint focuses her practice on trademark and copyright prosecution and counseling.

She is particularly skilled in counseling clients on emerging data collection and privacy issues, as well as user safety measures, in the tech sector. Before joining Fish & Richardson, she worked at a global consumer electronics and services company, where she handled law enforcement requests for sensitive user data and acted as a liaison in state and federal legal proceedings related to corporate records. She has also advocated pro bono on behalf of detained women and children in immigration proceedings.

 

Outside of her practice, Maggie enjoys crosswords, musical theatre, and fostering rescue dogs.
