Overview

Leanne Flatter’s practice emphasizes U.S. and international patent prosecution in the fields of medical devices, software, green technology such as carbon dioxide capture and injection systems, and robotics. She also has been involved in advising clients regarding avoiding the infringement risks. Leanne was previously a summer associate with Fish & Richardson. 

Prior to law school, Leanne earned her master’s degree in bioengineering from Clemson University, where she performed research related to mobile medical devices. During law school, Leanne received the dean’s achievement award in patent law and was awarded the 2017 Pirkey Prize for her paper titled “Arbitration in Intellectual Property Law."

In her free time, Leanne enjoys gardening and exploring Austin’s numerous hiking trails with her family.
