Katie Creedon is the chief legal talent & inclusion officer of Fish & Richardson. With over 15 years of industry experience, Katie works closely with the legal recruiting, professional development, DEI, and pro bono teams to recruit and retain top-tier legal talent and to maintain Fish’s reputation as a world-class employer for legal staff in IP.
Katie develops innovative strategies to increase the breadth and depth of legal talent at Fish so as to advance a high-performing culture that provides exceptional service to clients. She uses key metrics to measure the effectiveness of legal talent strategies and makes adjustments as needed to improve the performance, management, and overall success of attorney recruitment, retention, and development.
Prior to joining Fish, Katie served as the chief talent & inclusion officer at a national IP law firm, where she was a member of the firm’s strategic planning committee and worked to advance its DEI and leadership development goals.
Katie has experience in both legal practice and law firm administration. She began her career in London as an attorney in the U.S. corporate group at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where she worked on a wide variety of international capital markets transactions. Later, as a member of Proskauer’s private investment funds group, she represented investment managers and institutional investors in connection with the formation, administration, and purchase of interests in private equity, buyout, and hedge funds.
Katie is an active member of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP). She has held various leadership positions in professional organizations and regularly speaks on issues related to recruitment and professional development at national educational conferences. In her free time, she enjoys running marathons and travelling the world with her family and as little luggage as possible.
