About Franco

Franco Benyamin is a law clerk* in the Delaware office of Fish & Richardson P.C. He was previously a summer associate with the firm and focused on patent litigation support on pharmaceutical and biotechnology issues at the trial and appellate level. He also compiled data regarding on-going biologics legislation in Congress to provide clients with an understanding of anticipated advancements in the field.

During law school, Franco spent a semester as a law clerk at the Department of Justice (Civil Division, National Courts Section) where he gained pre-trial experience in the Court of Federal Claims and the Court of International Trade, as well as experience drafting and collaborating on appellate briefing submitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Franco also served as a research assistant to Professor Rachel Sachs, examining the shifting landscape of permanent injunctions in patent litigation. Additionally, Franco represented and counseled members of the St. Louis community in the Entrepreneurship & Intellectual Property Clinic on patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters ranging from sanitation systems to mobile app software.

Franco has extensive research experience in breast cancer and melanoma treatment at the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and Johns Hopkins University. His work investigating genetic variation in immunotherapeutic responses to the treatment of melanoma led to co-authorship of an article in Science Magazine.
