Overview

Eli Svetlov’s practice focuses on high-tech and complex patent litigation disputes in U.S. District Courts and at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board for companies ranging from startups to the Fortune 500.

He is experienced in all phases of patent litigation, from pre-suit investigations to trial, including pleadings, motion practice, and fact and expert discovery. With an extensive technical background and prior academic and engineering experience, Eli’s practice encompasses a wide range of technologies, primarily involving electrical engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, computer science and software engineering, and life sciences technologies.

Prior to joining the firm, Eli served as a judicial intern to the Chief Judge Susan Braden of the United States Court of Federal Claims. Eli’s prior experience also included patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution, strategic intellectual property portfolio development, and client counseling, with experience in conducting patent searches, due diligence investigations, licensing, and transactions. Eli also speaks Russian.

In addition to his IP practice, Eli devotes his time to pro bono matters, including work with the International Refugee Assistance Project and the Innocence Project.
