Overview

April Sunyoung Park assists clients with all aspects of patent infringement matters before the U.S. District Courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission. A skilled patent litigator with a global client base, April has established a reputation as an international authority in her field, with experience spanning many phases of the litigation process and touching on a wide array of technologies.

April’s clients rely on her substantial experience with and diligent efforts in various stages of patent litigation, including developing technical positions on infringement/noninfringement and validity/invalidity, drafting complaints, working with fact discovery and claim construction, prepping experts for trial and deposition, and managing post-trial issues. Throughout her career, she has also developed a keen understanding of a diverse range of technologies, including semiconductor devices, signal processing for television, smartphones, and smartwatches, graphic processing units, pharmaceuticals, solar cells, air-cooled condensers, and lithium-ion batteries.

Bilingual in English and Korean, April is adept at working collaboratively and communicating effectively across culture and language differences to represent and build relationships with her international clients, particularly those in Asia.  

In her pro bono practice, April works with Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights to help individuals navigate the complexities of the immigration process.  

April enjoys spending time outdoors, especially visiting beaches and parks with her husband and two children.
