Background

SR Kanna is a Technology Specialist in the patent group at Fish & Richardson’s Silicon Valley office. Her practice supports patent prosecution and counseling with a focus on computer science. 

Before joining Fish, Kanna worked at Intel in its networking division to optimize Solaris drivers. She also spent a year working for Intel’s Security Division on a machine learning Project to predict XSS attacks. She also has previous experience working at a start-up on Enterprise software. During her time at the Center for Research Computing at the University of Notre Dame, Kanna worked on a curation challenge to preserve and replicate experiments into metadata Fedora library database for Data and Software Preservation for Open Science (DASPOS). She explored existing reproducible existing technologies to preserve metadata, data and workflow for experiments using Linux, ReproZip, CDE, Vagrant, VM, VirtualBox, and Docker. 

Kanna graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science and specialization in Security.
