Fish & Richardson Receives Top “Gold” Ranking from IAM Patent 1000 for National Patent Litigation Practice

Fish & Richardson announced today that its Patent Litigation practice has received the top “Gold-Band” national ranking in the 2017 edition of IAM Patent 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners. Fish received the top “highly recommended” plaintiff firm ranking as well. Fish’s offices in California, Delaware, District of Columbia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, and Texas also received top rankings for the firm’s Patent Litigation and Patent Prosecution practices. IAM noted that, “National and international IP sensation Fish & Richardson has one of the most active patent litigation and prosecution practices in the world,” and called Fish a “force in US patent law – clients consider it a top-quality practice and first choice for matters of the utmost significance.”

According to IAM, “When it comes to U.S. patent litigation, no other name has as much brand recognition as Fish & Richardson right now. Nationwide, the incredibly high-quality ensemble has an extraordinarily deep bench of litigators who are chalking up stunning wins in every possible forum.” Fish also is “a top name in terms of thought leadership” for litigation at the International Trade Commission and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit” and “has one of the best infrastructures for prosecution and can safeguard and develop even the largest portfolios with consummate finesse.”

Nine Fish attorneys were singled out nationally as the top attorneys in their field: Ruffin Cordell, Michael McKeon, and Joseph Colaianni in the International Trade Commission category; W. Karl Renner, Dorothy Whelan, and Timothy Riffe in the Post-Grant Proceedings category; John Dragseth, Frank Scherkenbach, and Frank Porcelli in the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit category.
