Fish & Richardson P.C. announced today that Keith Barritt (Washington, D.C.), Anthony Fletcher (New York), and Cynthia Johnson Walden (Boston) have been named to the Legal Media Group’s 2008 “Guide to the World’s Leading Trade Mark Law Practitioners.” Approximately 200 U.S. attorneys were listed in this year’s Expert Guide.

The Expert Guide is based on the results of more than 3,500 questionnaires which senior practitioners and in-house counsel use to nominate the top lawyers in the field. The Legal Media Group compiles the independent nominations and reviews the list with a select group of advisers before publishing the Expert Guide.

Keith Barritt is a principal in Fish’s Washington, D.C. office, where his practice is primarily focused on all aspects of trademark law, including prosecution and inter partes proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Internet domain name issues, and trademark selection and enforcement. Mr. Barritt is also experienced in all aspects of medical device regulation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, including obtaining marketing authorization for medical devices, use of new devices for investigational purposes, and import and export issues. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School in 1989 and his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Virginia in 1983.

Anthony Fletcher is senior counsel in Fish’s New York office where he specializes in trademark litigation, counseling, and prosecution, with special emphasis on trade dress and trademark survey matters. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1962 and his A.B., cum laude, from Princeton University in 1957.

Cynthia Johnson Walden is a principal in Fish’s Boston office and she is the head of the firm’s Trademark and Copyright Practice. Her practice includes all aspects of trademark law, ranging from U.S. and foreign prosecution, client counseling, domain name and Internet-related issues, trademark dilution, trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and trademark litigation. Ms. Walden’s practice also includes copyright prosecution, client counseling, and copyright litigation. She has extensive experience with false-advertising and unfair competition matters and with corporate due diligence. She received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 1995 and her A.B., cum laude, from Dartmouth College in 1990.

The firm is the largest in the United States practicing intellectual property, litigation, and corporate law and offers global services that include worldwide IP strategy and representation in multi-national litigation.
