Background

Katrina Eash is a trial lawyer in Fish and Richardson’s litigation department.  She concentrates her practice in complex commercial and intellectual property litigation and also has experience in high-risk employment litigation.  She has represented clients such as Microsoft Corp., Apple, Inc., FMC Technologies, Inc., and RTIC Coolers, LLC.

Ms. Eash has significant experience in all aspects of litigation in state and federal court and she has significant trial experience exceeding most of her peers, having tried more than 6 cases as first chair or taking an otherwise stand-up role.  She has experience in all phases of trial, including pre-trial proceedings, voir dire, opening statements, closing arguments, and direct and cross examination of witnesses.

In addition to her civil trial work, Ms. Eash spent three months on loan as an assistant district attorney in Dallas County, where she tried numerous criminal jury trials to verdict.

Mr. Eash began her legal career as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Chad Everingham of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas (2010-2011), where she gained significant experience in federal trial practice and patent litigation, given the district’s hot patent trial docket.  After Judge Everingham’s retirement, Ms. Eash remained a Law Clerk in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas for several months and worked with multiple other district judges in the Eastern District of Texas.

Ms. Eash received her B.S. in journalism and Spanish, summa cum laude, in 2005 from the University of North Texas. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University in 2010, where she was the editor of SMU’s Annual Texas Survey.
