Ethics play an important role in business negotiations, particularly for attorneys, who are held to a higher standard. They need to know which rules govern attorney conduct, the differences in interpretation of the rules at state level, and the consequences of unethical behavior.

Jayme Partridge and Bailey Benedict discussed the ethical issues that lawyers may encounter when negotiating on behalf of their organization or client. They answer the following questions during the webinar:

  • What is the requirement of truthfulness?
  • What constitutes a “Material Fact?”
  • What is duty to disclose?
  • What are the rules of confidentiality?

Jayme and Bailey also walked through several hypotheticals during this complimentary webinar to illustrate the rules, and provide best practices for ethical business negotiations.
