Background

Brendan Murphy is a litigation associate in Fish & Richardson’s Boston office. Mr. Murphy was previously a summer associate with the firm.

Prior to law school, Mr. Murphy worked for major universities and companies conducting research on genetic diseases, oncology and targeted therapeutics, medical device technology, and sepsis. Brendan has also worked on green technology and renewable energy sources, rapid contamination diagnostics technology in industrial food production facilities, novel antimicrobial fabrics for military use, and received his Master’s degree in work on geochemical soil contamination and microbial bioremediation. During law school, he worked as a contracts manager at a pharmaceutical company and with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau advisor Kathleen Engel on mortgage finance and regulation, subprime and predatory lending, and consumer credit. He also authored a paper analyzing state- and federal-level proposals to lower prescription drug costs.

Mr. Murphy is an avid poker player, Boston sports fan, and enjoys cooking.
