Background

Alexander Kykta is an associate in the Houston office of Fish & Richardson. During his time at Fish, he has conducted research and prepared memos for patent litigation matters involving biomedical, electrical, and software patents, as well as Wi-Fi, touchscreen technology, microprocessors, and consumer electronics. He has also assisted in mechanical and materials-focused matters, as well as in a healthcare-related False Claims Act case. In those matters, Mr. Kykta has drafted discovery motions and responses, infringement contentions, and claim charts. Mr. Kykta’s engineering background in combination with his electrical specialization provides a unique perspective to assist clients with creative and effective solutions in any phase of litigation.

Before joining Fish, Mr. Kykta worked in the medical device regulatory field, where he assisted with various countries’ regulatory bodies. He also has life sciences experience working with the Texas legislature through his work with the Texas Healthcare and Bioscience Institute, where he analyzed bills for their impact on the bioscience field.
