Background

Sara Wexler Koblitz is an associate in the Regulatory Group in Fish & Richardson’s Washington, DC office. Ms. Koblitz has assisted clients in filings with multiple regulatory agencies across varying industries, including the medical device sector and the space and defense industry. Ms. Koblitz has extensive experience in the food and drug industry, with experience in areas such as FDA marketing and promotion regulations, OTC drug marketing, medical device reporting, product reclassification, dietary supplement claims, and Hatch-Waxman litigation. Additionally, she has participate in all phases of various mergers and acquisitions, including as ITAR and export counsel in multi-million dollar acquisition of a space component manufacturer and private equity companies. Ms. Koblitz has also advised clients on U.S. export control, economic sanction programs, and legislative and policy matters. Ms. Koblitz has additional experience advising on applicable telecommunications regulations and assisting in FCC litigation.

Ms. Koblitz is a member of the Food and Drug Law Institute and serves on the H. Thomas Austern Writing Awards Committee for Short Papers. Prior to joining Fish & Richardson, Ms. Koblitz was an associate in the Food and Drug regulatory Group at an Am Law 100 law firm, clerked at the FDA Office of Policy, and was a fellow in the Animal Protection Litigation section of the Humane Society of the United States. Prior to law school, Ms. Koblitz researched tort reform and public policy at the America Enterprise Institute.
