Background

Pooya Shoghi is an Associate in the Silicon Valley office of Fish & Richardson.  His practice focuses on patent prosecution, including portfolio management, application drafting, client counseling, and standard essential patent development.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Shoghi was a patent practitioner at a multinational technology company, where he was responsible for the filing and prosecution of U.S. patent applications. During law school, Mr. Shoghi was a legal intern at a major computer networking technology company, where his internship focused on issues of intellectual property licensing in the software arena. Mr. Shoghi also conducted research in data mining and machine learning while he was an undergraduate computer science student.
