Background

Olga May is a principal in the Southern California office of Fish & Richardson P.C. Her practice emphasizes intellectual property litigation, including patent infringement and trade secret; and commercial litigation, including product liability, consumer class action, breach of contract, and employment disputes.  She has experience in litigation involving software, microprocessors, video, data storage, and other technologies.

A substantial part of Ms. May’s practice involves cases that require expert testimony.  She is part of the Fish & Richardson team that built a Daubert Digest to help clients navigate complicated rules related to expert testimony and ensure its most effective use.  The digest provides a single source for current significant decisions that address the admissibility of expert testimony under Daubert across all areas of law.

Ms. May previously clerked for the Honorable Roger T. Benitez and the Honorable Cathy Ann Bencivengo in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. During law school, she externed for the Honorable M. James Lorenz in the Southern District of California and for the Honorable Michael B. Orfield in the San Diego Superior Court.
