Fish & Richardson attorneys and staff are participating in the upcoming Patent Litigation conference in September and November, sponsored by the Practising Law Institute.

Offered in five cities this Fall, including a live web cast, the sessions presented during the Patent Litigation conferences are taught by a varied faculty of judges and attorneys. Patent attorneys, both litigators and prosecutors, are encouraged to attend, as well as general business litigators and corporate counsel. Topics to be discussed include how to effectively handle discovery in litigation; how to obtain, and defend against, preliminary and permanent injunctions and declaratory judgments in patent cases post-eBay; the impact of KSR v. Teleflex on obviousness; and much more.

During the September 22-23 conference, held at the PLI California Center in San Francisco, John Steele, Special Counsel and Director of Ethics & Conflicts at Fish, is presenting, “Ethical Issues in Patent Litigation.” This session is presented live on Tuesday, September 23, and also via web cast the same day.

The November 10-11 conference is at the AMA Executive Conference Center in Atlanta. D.C. principal Ruffin Cordell are presenting, “Demonstration of a Direct and Cross-Examination of a Technical Expert Contending for Obviousness” on Monday, November 10.
