Fish's Eric Schulman and John Hayden Quoted in The Recorder Article "Fish & Richardson Hires Uber IP Director"

Eric Schulman (Principal, Silicon Valley) and John Hayden (Principal, Washington, DC) were quoted in The Recorder article, “Fish & Richardson Hires Uber IP Director.”

Schulman said he’d worked with Fish & Richardson’s patent attorneys many times during his in-house career, which included nine years at Google before he joined Uber in 2015. He was always impressed by their ability to resolve litigation expertly and quickly, he said of his new firm.“My hope is to do impactful work with people I like and respect,” he said. “I’m excited to be able to join them and introduce my many friends in the IP community to what Fish has to offer.”

“We’ve always respected what he brings to the table,” Hayden said. “We’re excited to have someone as highly regarded as him join the firm.”

Hayden said he hoped Schulman would also advise their clients’ in-house lawyers, particularly those at young companies making their first IP department hires.
