Fish Named Top IP Law Firm Representing America's Largest Corporations

Boston, MA, September 28, 2009 - Fish & Richardson today announced that it has been named the top intellectual property law firm for America's largest corporations in Corporate Counsel's eighth annual "Who Represents America's Biggest Companies?" survey. Fish was listed as primary outside IP counsel for nine Fortune 100 companies including 3M Company, Bank of America Corporation, Microsoft Corporation, and Target Corporation.

Corporate Counsel, a leading in-house legal counsel magazine, examined public records to determine the outside counsel most frequently used by Fortune 100 companies for five different practice areas, including intellectual property. Thomson Reuter's Monitor Suite also was used to compile data on intellectual property litigation and patent prosecution. The results are based on data from 2008.

"We are honored to be named the law firm of choice among Fortune 100 general counsel," said Peter J. Devlin, President of Fish & Richardson. "Companies trust us to protect their most important assets, which is why we continue to be the premier high-stakes patent litigation and prosecution law firm for the biggest companies in the world."

Corporate Counsel, which is published by Incisive Media, is a monthly publication written for chief legal officers and in-house counsel at corporations throughout the nation.
