The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has issued a Report and Order establishing the Fiscal Year 2010 Regulatory Fee obligations for regulated entities.  Regulatory fees are mandated by Congress and are collected each year to cover the costs the FCC incurs in carrying out its enforcement, policy and rulemaking, user information, and international activities.  Smaller regulatory fees associated with wireless services are generally paid up-front for the term of the license at the time a renewal application or application for new license is filed.  While there is no change to the annual fee for exclusive-use and shared Private Land Mobile Radio Service licenses, or Marine Coastal licenses, the Private Operational Fixed Microwave license regulatory fee decreased from $30 to $25 on per-year basis.

A copy of the FCC’s FY 2010 Regulatory Fee Report and Order is available at:   http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/FCC-10-123A1.pdf.
