Fish Associate Receives Prestigious “Young Attorney” Honor

Craig Countryman selected by the Daily Transcript as a Top Young Attorney

Fish & Richardson’s Craig Countryman, an associate in the firm’s Southern California office, has been named a Top Young Attorney by the Daily Transcript, a San Diego publication. This is the second consecutive year that Craig has received the honor. Craig Countryman, Top Young Attorney

A member of Fish’s patent litigation team, Craig was heralded by The Transcript for his appellate work, published works, ability to put complicated legal subjects into easy-to-understand terms, and community good works including serving on the boards of the San Diego County Volunteer Lawyer Program and Federal Bar Association.

Craig’s practice focuses on chemistry issues. His previous research experience includes work as an organic chemistry laboratory teaching assistant and as a research assistant at California Institute of Technology, where he developed a patentable synthesis of an anti-inflammatory drug and synthesized a library of DNA sequencing enzymes.  Craig earned a bachelor of science degree in chemistry at California Institute of Technology and a law degree at University of California, Los Angeles School of Law where he was an articles editor for the UCLA Law Review.
