Principal David Jordan was quoted in the Law360 article "5 Mistakes To Avoid In Patent Prosecution" to discuss common mistakes made by patent prosecutors, and how to avoid them.

“It shouldn’t be assumed that a patent application has to be an obtuse, complex, totally indecipherable legal document. It’s not a will or a contract. It should be a story of the invention.”

David went on to say the application needs to be “clear and succinct” for all parties and that “having a narrative that flows through your application is important and makes it defensible and much easier to go through the patent office.”
