AUSTIN/DALLAS/HOUSTON – Seven attorneys from the Texas offices of Fish & Richardson have earned selection to the 2013 edition of Texas Rising Stars, the annual listing of the state’s best young lawyers.

David Hoffman, an associate in Fish & Richardson’s Austin office, is named to the list based on his work in intellectual property litigation. In Dallas, firm principals Carl Bruce and Thomas Reger II earned high marks for their work in IP litigation, and fellow principals Andrew Graben and Scott Thomas are honored for their expertise in business litigation. Also honored for IP litigation are Houston principals Benjamin Elacqua and Wasif Qureshi.

“We are extremely proud of this group of young lawyers and their accomplishments in and out of the courtroom,” says attorney Tom Melsheimer, who leads Fish & Richardson’s operations in Texas. “These young attorneys are some of the top legal minds anywhere, and it’s gratifying to see them recognized among the state’s best.”

This marks the first time that Mr. Elacqua, Mr. Hoffman and Mr. Graben have been named to the exclusive listing, which includes less than 2.5 percent of eligible Texas attorneys. The other firm attorneys named to the 2013 list have earned spots in prior editions of Texas Rising Stars.

To assemble the Texas Rising Stars list each year, researchers from Thomson Reuters’ legal division request nominations from attorneys across Texas for the best practicing attorneys age 40 or younger, as well as those who have been practicing for 10 years or less.
