Firm’s Life Sciences Practice Also Receives Top Rankings

Boston, MA, September 23, 2013 – Fish & Richardson announced today that six of its principals – Gwilym Attwell, Juanita Brooks, Dr. Janis Fraser, John Freeman, Dr. Teresa Lavoie, and Jonathan Singer – were named intellectual property (IP) “Life Sciences Stars” for 2013 in the second annual edition of LMG Life Sciences.  The firm’s Life Sciences practice also received top rankings, with the publication noting “Fish & Richardson is part of a small group of law firms that can offer full-service comprehensive IP work to its life sciences clients.”

Fish was “Highly Recommended” for Patent Prosecution, Patent Strategy and Management, and Hatch-Waxman Patent Litigation and “Recommended” for General Patent Litigation.

According to an industry competitor, Fish has “one of the best prosecution teams in the country, and they can back that up with tremendous litigation work, especially on the Hatch-Waxman front.”  A Fish client added, “We can go to them with any IP request that we have.  From beginning to end, we used the firm for our patent needs and could not have been happier with the outcome.”

The LMG Life Sciences guide, which is published by the Legal Media Group in association with Euromoney Institutional Investor, is based on nearly 1,000 interviews and surveys completed by partners active in the market, interviews with clients and leading lawyers, and a review of public information.
