Background

J. Wesley Samples is an Associate in the litigation group in Fish & Richardson’s Washington, D.C. office. His practice focuses on patent litigation in federal district courts, particularly in the Eastern District of Texas. Mr. Samples has worked with a wide range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, computer hardware and software, and mobile communication devices.

From 2013-2014, Mr. Samples served as a law clerk for the Honorable John D. Love of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.  Prior to clerking, Mr. Samples worked as a Patent Litigation Associate, focusing on software and encryption related technologies.  He also has experience with biotechnology and medical device licensing and commercialization.​
