Background

Garrett Sakimae is an attorney in the Southern California office of Fish & Richardson and is a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee. Mr. Sakimae is primarily a patent litigator with extensive experience in technologies related to sleep apnea, Internet advertising, cloud computing and storage, network file transfer, and hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis machines and therapies. He is also experienced in mass tort product liability litigation. Mr. Sakimae has litigated cases in various venues, including California state courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and numerous Federal District Courts (e.g., District of Arizona, Northern District of Illinois, Middle District of Tennessee, Eastern District of Texas).

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sakimae served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald of the Hawaii Supreme Court and the Honorable Chief Justice Thomas Balmer of the Oregon Supreme Court.
