On November 28, 2012 David Healey (Houston) will speak on the panel “To MDL or Not to MDL: Views from the Trenches.” The panel is part of the Texas Bar CLE Presentation, Patent Multidistrict Litigation in the Wake of the America Invents Act 2012.

The enactment of the America Invents Act, as well as a line of decisions from the Federal Circuit concerning venue and joinder, has resulted in litigants seeking federal court Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) treatment in patent cases. This course explains the reasons for such utilization and the effects of MDL on patent litigation, as well as the effects of patent litigation on the Judicial Panel for Multidistrict Litigation (JPMDL).

Thomas M. Melsheimer (Dallas) will end the day with closing remarks.  Fish & Richardson is a proud sponsor of the event.  For more information or to register, click here.
