Claiming Biological Inventions Post-Myriad: A “Myriad” of Strategies

We invite you to join other members of the local biotech and pharmaceutical industry for breakfast and a seminar discussion with Fish Principals Mark Ellinger and Janis Fraser, who will discuss the Supreme Court’s recent decision in the Myriad “gene patenting” case.

Mark and Janis will provide their views on the implications of Myriad, with an emphasis on claim strategies going forward. The discussion will range beyond DNA claims to include various other “natural product” scenarios, for example therapeutic RNA’s, proteins, small molecules, metabolites and cells. The speakers will analyze how the Supreme Court’s reasoning will drive claim drafting techniques and will provide important advice on how to avoid pitfalls while taking advantage of viable strategies post-Myriad.

Participation is free and by invitation only. Please register in advance by clicking the RSVP button below. We will validate garage parking in our building. Contact Ellen Makarevich at makarevich@fr.com with any questions.
