You've seen the headlines: "The most significant changes to U.S. patent law since the U.S. Patent Act of 1952." Now that the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act (AIA) of 2011 has been passed, the U.S. Patent Office has begun implementing the new laws. This workshop will focus on how the U.S. Patent Office is implementing the new laws, and the aspects of that implementation that are relevant to University tech transfer. This diverse panel also will provide practical tips for Tech Transfer Offices.
