The Leahy-Smith America Invents Act is the most extensive revision of U.S. patent law in over 50 years. One crucial date in this overhaul is the March 16th changeover to the first-to-file system. That date is fast approaching! Fish will host two sessions in our Boston office to help you prepare.

Let’s Start with a Brush-up Session (Part 1 of 2)

First, please join Principals J. Peter Fasse and Todd Garcia for a brush-up session on the new rules as well as potential steps to take as this date approaches. This session will be provided in a lecture-type format.

Let’s Talk Strategy in a Roundtable Discussion (Part 2 of 2)

5:30 pm – 6:30 pm Roundtable Discussion
Second, please join us for a roundtable discussion to brainstorm about the new rules and to ask final questions before March 16. Questions will be solicited in advance from attendees. This session will be an opportunity to ask for input and suggestions from attorneys Gwilym Attwell, Todd Garcia, and Teresa Lavoie, and to discuss strategies with your colleagues in an open and informal roundtable format.

Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
