Professional experience
David Jordan is a Principal in Fish & Richardson's Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Jordan's law practice emphasizes client counseling in the areas of patent infringement and validity opinions, patent due diligence, patent portfolio development, standards compliance, and product clearance; and in U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, focusing on software, business methods, and electronics. In the electrical and software technologies areas, his practice encompasses computer architecture; user interfaces and human-computer interaction; operating systems; databases; business process modeling; supply chain traceability; satellites; optical lasers; consumer electronics devices; and control systems. Before joining Fish & Richardson, Mr. Jordan received his commission as an officer in the U.S. Navy, and served overseas as an aircraft maintenance officer. He was also a judicial extern for the Honorable James F. Stiven, Southern District of California, San Diego, California.
David also represents disabled veterans, pro bono, in their appeals at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
