Professional Experience
Alex Eaton-Salners is an Associate of Fish & Richardson P.C. in the firm’s Southern California office. He litigates and tries cases in federal district courts throughout the country and represents parties in Section 337 proceedings before the United States International Trade Commission. He was a Summer Associate with the firm (2004).

Prior to joining Fish & Richardson P.C., Mr. Eaton-Salners was a research assistant at the Samuelson Law, Technology & Public Policy Clinic in Berkeley, California and an advisor at the Saegusa International Patent Office in Osaka, Japan.

Amazon.com, Inc. v. IBM Corp. (E.D. Tex.) (counsel for Amazon.com in patent litigation concerning online commerce and database technology; settled favorably).

Data Encryption Corporation v. Microsoft Corp. (C.D. Cal.). (counsel for Microsoft in patent litigation concerning data encryption technology; obtained summary judgment ruling of non-infringement).

AVID Identification Sys., Inc. v. Philips Semiconductors Inc. (E.D. Tex.). (counsel for AVID Identification Systems in patent litigation and Lanham Act claims concerning RFID transponders and readers; favorable mid-trial settlement from two defendants and complete jury victory against the other two defendants, including a finding of willful infringement and a damages award of over $6 million).

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. adv. Renesas Technology Corp., Dynamic Random Access Memory Devices and Products Containing Same (337-TA-595) (trial counsel for Samsung in patent litigation concerning on-die termination and driver circuits for DDR2 SDRAM memory devices and phase-shift masks allegedly used in the fabrication of DDR1 and DDR2 SDRAM memory devices; Staff concurred with non-infringement and invalidity of asserted patents; settled favorably 2 days before the initial determination issued).

Hynix Semiconductor, Inc. adv. Toshiba Corporation, Flash Memory Devices and Components Thereof, and Products (337-TA-552) (trial counsel for Hynix in patent litigation concerning circuit and process-related patents allegedly involving NAND Flash memory devices; settled favorably after trial victory).
