Professional experience
J. Richard Soderberg is a Principal in the Twin Cities office of Fish & Richardson P.C. His practice includes all aspects of patent prosecution and counseling on invalidity and non-infringement issues. Mr. Soderberg has particular experience in the technology areas of computer systems and networks, personal computers and storage devices. His experience in wireless technologies has included business and home automation and monitoring devices. He also is knowledgeable about semiconductor manufacturing including deposition techniques and a variety of performance-enhancing processing steps. Mr. Soderberg's software experience comprises runtime and design time applications for enterprise software systems, including mobile distributed networks, and user interfaces for computer systems. He was previously a Patent Agent with Merchant & Gould in Minneapolis, MN. His previous legal experience includes a Judicial Clerkship at the Uppsala District Court (Summer 1995) and Research Assistant at the William Mitchell College of Law (Fall 1999).
