Baile (Bailey) Xie is a Technology Specialist in the Dallas office of Fish & Richardson. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Research Assistant at the University of Texas Dallas. Her practice focuses on patent prosecution and post-grant proceedings. Dr. Xie’s patent prosecution practice covers a broad range of technological areas such as telecommunications/wireless communications, software, database, computer network, oil and gas, and control systems. She has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of telecommunications and mobile-device-oriented patent applications. Dr. Xie also has significant experience in post-grant proceedings such as Inter Partes Review (IPR) involving patents in the areas of telecommunications (especially, 3GPP LTE/LTE-A standard-essential patents), surveillance/security systems, and laser control systems. Dr. Xie’s graduate study focused on wireless communications and signal processing, together with extensive research experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and wearable medical/fitness devices. Dr. Xie has co-authored 9 publications relating to electrical engineering/telecommunications.
