Background

Tony Nguyen is an Associate in Fish & Richardson’s Houston office. Tony’s practice focuses on patent litigation in Federal District Courts, particularly in the field of computer hardware and software. Tony has also represented companies in cases involving medical devices, telecommunications, security equipment, mobile phones, ATMs, televisions, and manufacturing machinery. Tony’s practice includes experience before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) in importation investigations and before the U.S. Patent Trial Appeal Board (PTAB) in Inter Partes Review proceedings. 

Tony also devotes time to pro bono matters, such as working with the YMCA of Houston to help refugees seek asylum in the U.S.

While in law school, Tony was a Patent Agent at Texas Tech University’s Office of Technology Commercialization, where he worked with university researchers on patenting a wide range of technologies, including electrical circuits, microfluidic devices, and cloud computing. Prior to entering law school, Tony was an Engineer at Samsung Semiconductor improving leading-edge DRAM and Flash devices.​
